THE IMPRESA MODULAR ADVANTAGE
BENEFITS OF OFF-SITE BUILDING
Constructing your new custom home in an off-site factory setting offers a plethora of benefits that can only be achieved with our revolutionary methods. When it comes to your new home journey, discover how easy it is to get into a quality custom home that is both greener and stronger than traditional on-site construction. When it comes to home building, the different way is actually the better way.
No Weather Impacts
Off-site construction offers a unique divergence from traditional on-site building methods, providing a range of benefits that include mitigating delays due to inclement weather (weather that would typically pause construction on your outdoor building site). With your home completed in a controlled factory environment, there is no moisture absorption during the construction phase, and your new home is protected from water damage that can create mildew, mold, or potential rot issues. With Impresa Modular, you can rest easy knowing that your home will be completed on time and to the highest standards of new home quality.
Air Quality
Building off-site construction homes in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility means outside dirt and dust won’t get swept into open floor registers and propelled into your home. Your thermal insulation is tightly sealed, eliminating many of the air pollutants that leak in around doors and windows of a stick build. Lumber stays safe and dry from bad weather throughout the entire process, eliminating excessive expansion/contraction, mold or mildew. All of this amounts to a beautifully designed home that is built to filter healthier incoming air – allowing you and your family to live comfortably for years to come.
Building Envelope
Off-site new home construction factories are very particular about sealing areas where holes are created for pipes and wiring along with intersections between drywall and studs. When you combine this level of detail with our custom home technique of building from the inside-out, you get a well-designed home with a thermal envelope that is tightly sealed in a more consistent and significant manner than is achievable in on-site construction. The result is even temperatures and intense moisture and draft control all throughout your home for enhanced comfort and durability all year long. You can also read more about the extra benefits you get from our optional ENERGY STAR® package.
Built to Spec (Quality Control)
There are no shortcuts when it comes to the construction of your custom new home. Everything must be installed to the manufacturer’s specifications and completed in a specific order for your home to be warrantied. We pride ourselves on having a wealth of in-factory supervisors and inspectors putting eyes on everything we do, ensuring there are more detailed and frequent quality-assurance inspections being carried out – especially more than would be feasible with an on-site stick build. Because our homes must withstand transportation from the factory to your homesite, they are built with advanced engineering, meaning there is a considerable advantage to the strength and quality of an off-site construction new home compared to on-site new construction.
Increased Value
When you build your custom home off-site, you’re putting your assets to work strategically. With construction happening off-site in a factory, you utilize professional factory labor vs. on-site construction labor, which can result in streamlined costs. This climate-controlled facility also ensures a well-planned operation with rigorous on-site testing that allows us to address concerns before your home is delivered instead of spending more for on-site fixes (change orders). Our detailed energy-efficient building practices result in lower utility bills and bigger energy savings for our homeowners. Plus, because we are able to deliver a home much more quickly, there are fewer opportunities for costs to increase because of on-site issues or construction delays.
Sustainable Living & Green Building
Our superior off-site construction techniques and quality engineering practices allow us to deliver custom homes that are much more energy efficient than their stick built counterparts. We use materials that contain fewer chemicals and air filtration systems that can contribute to a healthier home environment. And, because your custom home will be built “to spec,” you’ll contribute to up to 30% less dumpster waste. Our energy and water efficiency measures mean lower operating costs for you. Since your home is built indoors, our team can work ergonomically to reach angles and positions stick builds can’t, so you’ll enjoy a “tighter” home with fewer drafts and better humidity control. Our durable building components and green home details result in less maintenance.
TIMELINE/SCHEDULE ADVANTAGE
We understand not only the desire, but sometimes the necessity, of getting into your newly built home as soon as possible. While new homes constructed on-site can take upwards of eight to twelve months before reaching completion, our advanced factory assembly line allows us to deliver your new custom home nearly in half that time! Our homes are built indoors in a controlled environment where construction is never slowed down by changing weather conditions, contractor no-shows, and/or material delivery. At the same time your home is constructed in the factory, work is being completed to excavate, grade, and install the foundation concurrently which is how we are able to deliver your project 30-50% faster!
